Honestly – it is super easy to get caught up in the season & the holidays. Make sure you take time to look after yourself emotionally, mentally & physically. It can be easy to forget yourself when you are engaged with so many other things – too busy to stop, too busy to just do something for yourself. It is easy to get stuck in “fight or flight” mode, which damages our health &, sadly, stops us from thinking creatively.
Whatever works best for you. An Epsom salts bath once a week, a walk in the morning, getting out to the local farmers market once a week, reading for 15min a day, prepping meals so you eat healthy all week, ensuring you meet up with a friend once a fortnight & get out of the house. Do what suits you & your life.
Remember to add self-care into your routine. Even add it to your diary or calendar, slot in times NOW – make it non-negotiable. Make sure you get time to look after yourself as part of your improved lifestyle in 2020!
